Research Interest

C1-Fixation Enzymes
  • Discover and engineer enzymes that assimilate carbon dioxide, formate, formaldehyde, or methanol into central metabolites.
  • Improve catalytic efficiency, selectivity, and cofactor balance for cell-free and microbial C1 conversion.
Plastic-Degrading Enzymes
  • Identify oxidative and hydrolytic enzymes capable of initiating or accelerating PE, PP, and nylon degradation.
  • Define polymer–enzyme interactions and engineer catalysts for depolymerization and biological upcycling.
